This year, the city of Chitré has been chosen to host the first Visit Panama Cup. The Visit Panama Cup is a professional tennis tournament and part of the ATP Challenger Tour Calendar. It will take place from January 25 to February 2, 2014 at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Carlos Peralta in Chitré on Panama’s Azuero Peninsula.
Chitré was chosen as host city for the Visit Panama Cup due to the excellent tennis courts and the complete infrastructure the city offers. There are plenty of hotel rooms available, for example at the new and exciting Cubitá Boutique Resort & Spa and thanks to the recently opened highway Divisa – Chitré, the travel time from the capital by car is down to 3 hours.
